After graduating in 2001 with a 2:1 degree in BSc (Hons) Business Information Technology and winning the Merlin Information Systems prize for my database dissertation, I started my first I.T. job role as Database Manager for a chartered accountants in Marylebone, London. I soon became interested in the more creative aspects of computing and started to design and build websites as a hobby in my spare time.

In 2006, I decided to change direction in my career and find full-time work as a Web Designer / Developer.  My first creative role was as Web Designer for an online car rentals company in Woking. After a year of valuable work experience and having gained confidence in my abilities, I looked for a more challenging role that would broaden my knowledge of web design and associated technologies.

I joined a large corporate communications agency as Web Developer in 2007. This allowed me to work on a selection of different client websites from various industries, most notably the global car manufacturer SEAT, where I was responsible for the overall design, development and maintenance of their UK web presence. Other client’s included Equity, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Audi, Sony Ericsson, SITA UK and Oxford Motivation.

Currently, I am working full-time as a Web Developer for a computer consultants based in Oxford. I am also a freelance Web Designer in my spare time.
